The Pretend Breakup

Grace, the mafia matriarch of Miami, sharply suspects her son Jason’s fiancée Vanessa is a gold-digger plotting to seize the family fortune. To open her love-blinded son’s eyes to the truth, Grace stages an elaborate ruse: an FBI raid on their compound, leaving the family bankrupt and on the run. Faced with sudden poverty and mortal danger, Vanessa’s true colors surface instantly. She refuses to contribute any of her own money to help, treats the down-and-out Jason with contempt, and eventually runs off to Chad, the heir of a rival cartel. Amid the betrayal and harsh life at rock bottom, Jason meets Chloe, a kind and humble working girl. Chloe’s selfless sincerity and courage help Jason rebuild himself, earning her high praise from Matriarch Grace. When Vanessa discovers the Lawson family never went bankrupt, she tries to claw her way back and extort a massive fortune with a fake pregnancy scam. Grace and Jason strike back fiercely, exposing her huge lie on the spot. In the end, the scheming woman loses everything and is ruthlessly abandoned by her new patron. Meanwhile, the kind-hearted Chloe wins true love and becomes the new mistress of Miami’s mafia empire.
